The Best Investment You’ll Make This Fall
If something inside you has been wondering if it's time to invest in yourself, I'd love to have you join us.
When I talk with women about attending a Resilience for Progress retreat, the hesitation usually isn’t about whether it would be valuable; it’s about whether they can justify taking the time for themselves. It’s a fair concern.
Many of the women who have attended a Resilience for Progress retreat are balancing careers, marriages, children, and countless other responsibilities. For many moms, that also includes not wanting to miss a game, a performance, or an activity that matters to their kids. Investing time, money, and energy into themselves doesn't always come naturally.
In fact, several attendees have told me they almost didn't come. There was always one more reason to wait until life felt less busy.
But here's what I've noticed: life rarely becomes less busy on its own. If we don't intentionally create space to pause, reflect, and realign, it's easy to spend months or even years putting ourselves at the bottom of the list.
That doesn't mean we should escape our lives. It means we should occasionally step back so we can return to them with greater clarity, energy, and purpose.
And for many women, that decision to step away, even briefly, can feel like the hardest part.
Erika shared, “Honestly, if anyone is on the fence about going—committing the time, the money, rearranging commitments to attend—I was in the same place. But I knew this was something I needed, and I came away from this weekend feeling refreshed and inspired.”
Bernadette shared, “Do not let obstacles be the reason for your uncertainty or nonparticipation. There were at least two times I wanted to back out. However, I went and am so happy I did. To be honest, I was feeling ‘lost’ prior to going. The first morning of the retreat was eye-opening, and I knew I was exactly where I was supposed to be.”
One of the greatest joys of leading these retreats has been seeing what happens long after the weekend ends. Women who met as strangers have become friends. Participants stay connected with their Progress Partners, follow through on meaningful goals, and continue making changes months later.
Those stories remind me that investing in yourself is rarely selfish. When we become healthier, more resilient, and more aligned with what matters most, the people around us benefit too.
I'm excited to share that registration is now open for my third Resilience for Progress retreat, taking place October 23-25 at beautiful Trout Lodge, just outside St. Louis.
To help participants plan with confidence, the first step is to fill out the contact us form and setup a discovery call with me to ensure this is a fit. As always, we'll spend the weekend exploring the Four Facets of Better Living: Physical, Personal, Professional, and Prosperity, while creating time for meaningful conversation, reflection, movement, and a little fun along the way.
