    Set in the Missouri Ozark Hills just 90 minutes from St. Louis, YMCA Trout Lodge offers a restorative setting designed to foster connection, reflection, and renewal. Surrounded by nature and overlooking the scenic 360-acre Sunnen Lake, it’s the perfect environment to step away from the noise of everyday life, breathe deeply, and tune into what matters most with clarity, calm, and intention.

    Retreat participants will stay in lodge-style guest rooms located in the heart of the property. Each room includes two queen beds, a private bathroom, a desk, and a balcony or patio with beautiful lake views. These cozy accommodations offer the simplicity of a rustic getaway with the comforts of hotel-style amenities. Midwestern comfort food, served buffet style in the public dining hall, is included with your stay.

Here’s a glimpse of our weekend together.
Each day is thoughtfully structured with immersive, facilitated sessions designed to spark growth, clarity, and meaningful progress. This is a workshop-style experience, intentionally paced to balance reflection, connection, movement, and challenge.

Scheduled breaks and shared meals offer time to recharge and build connection, while your comprehensive, custom-designed Resilience for Progress workbook will help you capture insights, reflect deeply, and shape clear actions to carry forward.

Friday, April 10th: Arrival, Intention, and Connection (2:30–8:00 PM)

  • Check-in & Welcome: Arrive, settle in, meet your retreat host, and enjoy informal time to unwind and connect.

  • Orientation & Intention-Setting: Ground yourself in what you hope to gain from the weekend, reflect on personal goals, and begin building community.

  • Introduction to the Four Facets of Better Living: Get oriented to the Resilience for Progress framework, clarify intentions, and meet your Progress Partner.

  • Dinner & Optional Fireside Gathering: Close the evening by the fire with s’mores, relaxed conversation, and an easy transition into the weekend.

Saturday, April 11th: Building Resilience Across Mind, Body, and Relationships (8:30 AM–8:00 PM)

  • Physical Progress: Begin the day with an energizing workout focused on confidence, adaptability, and sustainable fitness practices.

  • Envisioning Your Future Self: Explore your vision for the future, reflect on who you are becoming, and create a guiding mantra to anchor your journey.

  • Personal Progress: Map and reflect on key relationships, identify areas for growth, and practice giving and receiving feedback to strengthen connection.

  • Optional Adventure Course or Nature Walk: Around 4:00 PM, challenge yourself on the Alpine Tower climbing course or enjoy a scenic hike with fellow participants on the Trout Lodge grounds.

  • Dinner & Optional Creative Reflection: Share conversation over dinner, then paint a keepsake inspired by your mantra or write a postcard to your future self.

Sunday, April 12: Purpose, Prosperity, and Next Steps (7:30 AM–2:00 PM)

  • Morning Reset: Begin the day with gratitude journaling and intentional reflection to set the tone for closing.

  • Physical Progress: Participate in a strength-focused movement session that reinforces physical resilience and confidence.

  • Professional Progress: Explore how your skills and passions align with meaningful purpose and identify practical next steps toward work you fully enjoy.

  • Prosperity Progress: Gain clarity on your financial habits and learn strategies to align money decisions with your values and goals.

  • Closing Reflection & Commitments: Create clear commitments for progress and close the retreat with a circle of gratitude and mutual accountability.

This schedule is thoughtfully designed and may be adjusted slightly to best serve the group experience. Unless noted as optional, participants are asked to be fully present for all programming components.

Based on prior attendee feedback, I encourage you to make advance arrangements with work or other commitments to arrive in Potosi by 2:30 PM for the start of the retreat.

Your Investment

Total Investment: approximately $570–$690, depending on room occupancy selection.

Participation in the Resilience for Progress retreat includes two separate payments:

Retreat Registration: $349

Paid to Resilience for Progress
This fee secures your spot and includes:

  • All guided retreat sessions and workshops

  • Facilitated discussions and reflection activities

  • Your Resilience for Progress workbook, fitness resistance bands, branded gifts and other workshop materials

Lodging & Meals: Reserved Separately with Trout Lodge

All participants are required to stay onsite at Trout Lodge. Lodging is booked and paid directly with the venue and includes accommodations and all meals from Friday dinner through Sunday lunch.

  • Shared (Double) Occupancy: approximately $220 per person for the weekend

  • Single Occupancy: approximately $340 per person for the weekend

Once you complete your retreat registration, you’ll receive instructions to reserve your accommodations directly with Trout Lodge.
